Checking the snow report in October? We're right there with you. The good news is that the ponds are full and our dedicated snowmaking team has been working hard in the off season to ensure a smooth season ahead. We installed 8 new high-efficiency snowguns, 7 on Lower Boulevard and 1 on Corkscrew. We also added several new posts that will now accept new Klik rapid-fire hydrants on Corkscrew. This will allow our snowmakers to work more efficiently, which means more snow on your favorite trails.
Some other off-season improvements include a freshly painted base lodge! The people spoke, they wanted a red lodge, and now they've got it. We've returned to our roots, brandishing that classic, New England barn red. The inside of the lodge also has been refreshed with a fresh coat of paint!
We also aquired a new (to us) slope mower this summer. The thought, care, and hard work we put into our trails is a year-round effort. From steamy summer days to frigid winter mornings, the grind doesn't stop for our trail maintenance crew.
More off-season improvements include: new beginner friendly rentals exit, roof repairs, snowmaking pipe replacement on the East Side Steeps and Learning Area, new lift shack at the top of Alpine Chair, new snowmobiles, a major signage overhaul, and more!
Last but not least, our projected opening day is Friday, November 28! Now is the time to start crossing items off your winter checklist. Dust off those boards and skis, get 'em tuned up, get your season pass, and we'll see you when the snow flies!
